Propulsion

I was taking Isaac to school this morning on the bike, and he cleverly observed: "We just use legs instead of petrol don't we." Seemed like a clever observation for a youngun! We've discussed that cars use petrol, but he made the parallel with leg propulsion himself.

Isaac: No it wasn't, you do bigger farts than Mummy.

Yesterday in the garden centre

Isaac: Daddy, look - mussels!
Jamie: Oh, wow - how did you know they were mussels?
Isaac: Well, they certainly look like mussels.
Jamie: That's clever, how did you know that?
Isaac: [ponders] Hmmm, I don't really know.

Clare had told him moments before that they were mussels.
